WSP Systems operates globally in the logistics and automation of industrial laundries. Our company is rapidly growing, with notable international projects. We are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager for the German market. In this role, which involves both acquiring new customers and managing relationships with existing laundries, you can leverage your entrepreneurial skills effectively.

Due to the company’s growth, particularly in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), we are seeking an experienced sales manager with an affinity for technology and process automation.

About WSP Systems:
WSP, a family-owned company, has been active in the industrial laundry industry for over 30 years, serving laundries that professionally process laundry for hotels, hospitals, and other facilities. Located in the heart of the Netherlands, nearly 100 employees work on the design, engineering, and assembly of industrial components. These components undergo extensive testing before being packaged and shipped to locations worldwide, where our own commissioning engineers assemble them into efficient industrial workflows. This includes items such as bag rail systems, belt conveyors, and especially software for managing entire laundry operations. At WSP, we continuously seek efficient solutions to ensure our clients remain efficient and future-proof. Our software is distinctive and often decisive, making a difference in the market with our in-house developed products.

What will you do?
As an Area Sales Manager, you will represent WSP Systems in the DACH region. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers and prospects and serve as a representative in the local laundry industry association. Additionally, you will initiate marketing actions, customer days, and assist in issue resolution, supported by the entire team of enthusiastic and competent WSP colleagues. You will also develop an annual sales plan and work methodically to achieve it.

Roles, responsibilities, and authorities within WSP:

  • You are the key contact person for WSP’s customers in your region, including Germany.
  • Through close collaboration based on long-term partnerships, you understand the challenges your customers face.
  • You bridge the gap between WSP’s product range and the customer’s needs, even when the customer may not be aware of their exact requirements.
  • You ensure sufficient development in your sales area, as WSP primarily operates on a project basis, acquiring projects from new customers through both acquisition efforts and
  • satisfied customer referrals.
  • You collaborate with colleagues to develop a compelling concept that you present convincingly.
  • Your thorough and up-to-date knowledge of logistics systems makes you a competent advisor to our customers.
  • After an initial training period involving collaboration with colleagues and customer visits, you will assume responsibility for your sales area.
  • You finalize orders within established frameworks and goals.

What do we expect from you?
You are an enthusiastic, creative professional who brings seniority and persuasiveness, able to build consensus. You excel in strategic thinking and have an entrepreneurial, hands-on attitude. You pay attention to detail while maintaining an overview. You are communicative, solution-oriented, flexible, and enjoy improvising. Preferably you live in Germany and speak German fluently.

What knowledge and experience do you bring?

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a sales role, preferably in the German market.
  • Your strength lies in combining a passion for sales with analytical ability, quickly identifying how customer processes can be streamlined and made more efficient.
  • Your empathetic nature allows you to understand the customer’s perspective, positioning you more as an advisor than a mere salesperson.
  • You can work independently but also enjoy collaborating with your team on projects.
  • Building long-term, trusting relationships with customers is more important to you than short-term success.
  • You have a good technical understanding and ideally have completed a commercial/business/technical Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent command of both German and English languages.
  • In addition to your professional qualifications, you are willing to travel regularly (internationally).

What do we offer?
WSP offers diverse tasks in a small team where your ideas matter. You will work in a growing organization with ample opportunities for personal development.

  • Diverse tasks in an international environment.
  • You will work with a dynamic team passionate about innovation.
  • Competitive salary, depending on your experience and level.
  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days.
  • Excellent benefits according to the Metalektro collective labor agreement.
  • Work in a sports-oriented organization with a focus on a healthy environment.
